Who we are
Home for Mum (homeformum.co.uk) is a care home placement referral service. We are the data controller for the personal data you provide to us. Contact: hello@homeformum.co.uk
What data we collect
Name, phone number, email address, postcode, details about the care needs of your loved one (care type, urgency, budget, funding), and any free-text information you choose to provide. We also collect call recordings and transcripts when you speak with our AI navigator Maya.
Why we collect it
To match you with suitable care homes (legitimate interest / contract performance), to send you a personalised shortlist and follow up on viewings (contract performance), and to improve our service (legitimate interest). We do not sell your data to third parties.
Who we share it with
We share your care requirements (not your contact details) with care homes when booking viewings, with your explicit consent. We use Supabase (database), Anthropic (AI), VAPI (voice), Twilio (SMS/calls), and Resend (email) as processors.
How long we keep it
Active enquiry data: 12 months from last contact. Placed resident records: 6 years (legal requirement). Call transcripts: 12 months. You can request deletion at any time.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data. To exercise any right, email hello@homeformum.co.uk with 'Data Request' in the subject line. We will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.

We use essential cookies only (session management). No advertising or tracking cookies.
AI & automated decisions
Your enquiry is initially classified by an AI (Claude, by Anthropic). This classification is used to route you to the right support and is reviewed by our team. No solely automated decisions with legal effect are made about you.
